FR PAUL AKINYODE URGES FAITHFUL TO USE THEIR TALENTS

NO ONE CAN GUARANTEE that anybody will live to see the next day hence the need to always use one’s talent because it will surely be a criterion for judgment on the last day, according to Rev. Fr Paul Akinyode.

Fr Akinyode stated said on Sunday 19 November at SS Peter & Paul Pro-Cathedral, Lagere, Ile-Ife. He urged Catholics to review their activities from the beginning of the year to know if they are worthy of heaven.

Fr Paul said “studentship and lack of time” are false excuses for not putting  your talent into use and urged students to join ministries in the parish of worship because failure to do so is a direct evidence of idleness in their home parish.

The priest also admonished Catholics against the “lack of time syndrome,” noting that most Catholics are sick at home without anyone noticing because they fail to associate themselves with others in the Church which makes their absence difficult to be noticed.

If medical doctors are able to function alongside as pastors, how much more those involved in a job that is not time-consuming? he asked.
