REV. FR GILBERT Rukundo, M.Afr, parish priest of St Augustine Quasi parish, Ojoo, Ibadan, on 22 April, enjoined parents, guardians and teachers  to imitate Jesus, the Good Shepherd, in their duty to the young generation.

Quoting the scripture, Fr Gilbert asserted that “Apart from the name of Jesus, there is no other name by which people can be saved”,  urging the congregation to make Jesus the cornerstone of their lives.

The day was used to celebrate the mothers, and theirimportance to the life of the community. 

The homilist encouraged the mothers  to bring Jesus to those that don’t know him yet by been good examples and a practical bible for them
