CAMPAN INAUGURATES MOKOLA CHAPTER

REV. FR FELIX ADEDIGBA, Ibadan archdiocesan director of communication, has urged the pioneer members of St Gabriel’s, Mokola, Ibadan Chapter of Catholic Association of Media Practitioners of Nigeria (CAMPAN) to represent and report the Church well.

Fr Adedigba told the inductees that their calling is a special one, and “each of you should strive to do his or her work in reflection of personal professions.”

“Do not be armchair communicators,” he said.

Further, the director said the Church could not do without communication because “you give life to the events in the Church.”

The event was the first inauguration since his appointment as the director.

Comrade Goke Adelakun, archdiocesan president, CAMPAN, in his address, said, “Communication is a vocation, not a profession,” and advised the inductees to do their work wholeheartedly.

Comrade Adelakun applauded the parishioners for placing much importance on communication and always contributing heavily to the World Communications Day funds.

The CAMPAN leader told the members to stay united and remain focused by shunning unhealthy rivalry. He thanked the parishioners for their cooperation and urged them to support the newly inaugurated members materially and financially in order to propagate the gospel.

Meanwhile, the following professionals have been asked to join CAMPAN: broadcasters, photographers, graphic designers, musicians, comedians, advertisers, ICT personnel, choristers, lay readers and catechists.
