Thank you Father for revealing the mystery of the Kingdom to mere children

By REV. FR. SAMUEL FREDERICK

Ex. 3:1-6.9-12, Mt. 11:25-27. Today's first reading recounts the call of Moses to deliver God’s people in the famous encounter with the burning bush that was not consumed. God sent him to Pharaoh and convince him to let the Israelites go free from slavery. He called Moses to be His servant, His worker and His mouthpiece among His people. God revealed to Moses that he was to go to Pharaoh and present His words before him. Should he refuse His instruction, His power and majesty would force Pharaoh and the Egyptians to submit to His will. In today's Gospel, Jesus thanks the Heavenly Father for revealing the mystery of the Kingdom to mere children.

The Lord revealed His plan to save us from destruction due to our sins, through His Son. It is truly a great joy that has come into this world, just as the coming of Moses brought great joy to the Israelites who long suffered in slavery. A clear, simple knowledge of God can be grasped by children (the simple and humble ones) to whom Jesus reveals the Father. His work is to share His intimate knowledge of God with us. To know ourselves as a child of God is to be happily confident that life is a gift. At the deepest level of our life, God dwells within us; here we are in touch with our most profound self, our secret mission, our heavenly name, written in the book of life. On this day let us re-examine how we should live our lives from now on. Let us grow stronger in faith and commit ourselves more, in living our lives and aligning ourselves to God’s truth.

May the Lord continue to guide us in our journey of life and bless us everyday of our lives! Amen!! Good morning, Peace be with you!!!
