The plans to kill Jesus is waxing stronger. They are making efforts, meetings are taking place but yet they can't capture him because his time hasn't come. However, the time will still come, it surely will. Why do they want to kill him? His ways are not their ways. The first reading says it all, "Let us then lie in wait for the righteous man, because he is inconvenient to us and opposes our actions; he reproaches us for sins against the law, and accuses us of sins against our training" (Wisdom 2:12).
Are you a Christian and you stand for truth and justice? Be ready also because they will come for you. The way of the righteous is always a contradiction to the way of the world. They will look for ways to bring the righteous down but let us not be troubled because our God is close to the broken hearted. He surely won't despise us or forsake us. However, if we are part of those looking for ways to bring down the righteous and truthful ones, then we need to change our ways and repent.
Lord, in my moments of pains and trails, accompany me o lord and do not forsake me. Amen.
