A positive response to God

Ish 7:10-14, Lk. 1:28-35. God's love and plan for redemption begin to unfold when He sent Gabriel to Mary as recorded in today's Gospel. When Mary said "YES" to the will of God, a new era of salvation began for all mankind. Mary is called upon to cooperate with the will of God to save His people from their sins. She listened to the word of God and responded to it even when she did not understand all the plans of God.

Mary's prompt response to the divine message is a model of faith for all believers. She believed God's promises even when they seemed impossible. She was willing and eager to do His will, no matter what she had to endure. When God calls us, He also gives us the help, strength and means to respond. We can either yield to the grace or resist it and go away from it" Today, we are called to believe in God's promises and yield to His grace.

May the Lord sanctify us through the life-giving Word and consecrate us through the blood of Christ until our eyes see His face! Amen!! Good morning and have a wonderful day!!!
