Matthew 9:27; "Have mercy on us, Son of David!"

Matthew 9:27; "Have mercy on us, Son of David!"

By REV. FR. PAUL ANIGBORO

Persistence and patience are virtues that must come with every prayer or request. The two blind men in today's gospel taught us this great lesson. They kept on walking with Jesus in order to make their request. Jesus didn't answer until he entered the house. Their answer to the question of Jesus was an expression of their faith.

Though we may not be blind but certainly there are areas in our lives that needs healing and God's divine touch. We all struggle with weakness and disability of one kind or another, ways in which we are broken and vulnerable. The example of the two blind men encourages us to keep turning to the Lord in prayer, even when he appears not to be listening to us. Our prayer of faith will not ultimately go unanswered.

Lord, come to our aid daily and listen to our prayers. Show unto us your mercy and compassion. Amen.

Good morning and do have a wonderful day. God loves you.
