Be Ready at all times

 1 Cor. 1:1-9, Mt. 24:42-51. The content of the four Gospels calls us to remain awake, watchful and on guard against the enemy who never sleeps. Today's Gospel calls us to that decisive moment, when we have to present ourselves before God with our hands filled with the fruits of our faith. For us, each day should be an encounter with God in our everyday life.

Like soldiers in active duty, we are warmed against negligence, carelessness and 'half-hearted' love. A loving heart is a vigilant heart, both over itself and others, because God also expects us to be watchful and on guard over those who are united to us by the bonds of faith, blood and friendship. Thus, the call to be at alert is a call to strive with all our strength to make good use of the opportunities our faith offers us and bring people entrusted to our care to Jesus.

May the light of Christ rise in our hearts and may each new day increase our trust in God! Amen!! Good morning and do have a great day!!!
