Psalm 25:4; "Make me to know your ways, O Lord; teach me your paths."

Psalm 25:4; "Make me to know your ways, O Lord; teach me your paths."

By REV. FR. PAUL ANIGBORO

When we follow the way of the Lord, we walk in the right path. In the gospel today, the scribe asked to know the way of the Lord by seeking clarification on which is the greatest of all commandments. Jesus tells him love of God and love of neighbour are the two greatest commandments. The scribe affirmed this, which made Jesus to say he is not far from the kingdom of God.

There is a great difference between not being far from God's kingdom and being there. One may not be far and still not get there. The difference lies in knowing and doing. When we as Christians know the right thing to do to make eternal life, we are not far from God's kingdom. But when we now do the right thing that we know, then we are on the path towards God's kingdom. God has shown us the way to the Father, let us walk in that way by doing what he commands.

Lord, help us to walk in your path always. Amen.

Good morning and do have a wonderful day. God loves you.
