John 14:13; "Truly I tell you, the one who believes in me will also do the works that I do and, in fact, will do greater works than these, because I am going to the Father."
By REV. FR. PAUL ANIGBORO

Today we celebrate two Apostles, 2 martyrs who gave their lives for Christ, Saints Philip and James. The ultimate goal in Christianity is being able to die for Christ. It is not easy to know that one's life is under threat and still go about preaching in the name of Christ. Philip and James were steadfast till the very end.

In the gospel, Jesus said, to believe in him is to believe in the Father who sent him. This is the faith every Christian is expected to profess and to pass on also. As we celebrate them, we too need to ask ourselves if we are faithful to our call as Christians?

Lord, make me strong in my faith and Grant me the grace to proclaim it always. Amen.

Good morning and do have a wonderful day. God loves you.
