Often times, I sit down and ponder on what my Heavenly manssion will look like. Will it be a storey building, a bungalow, a "face me I slap you room"? Of course, these are just descriptions which may not correspond to what heaven is like. When Jesus talks about a place in God's kingdom, it is only meant for those who have prepared themselves while on earth and who have believed in Jesus.
We are on a journey. The Christian life is a journey to heaven. What we do while on this journey, determines the kind of manssion we are building for ourselves. The only way to God, is the way of Jesus and that why he reminded his Apostles that he is the way, the truth and the life. For those who follow the way of Jesus, heaven is theirs. Whose ways are you following? Are you building a place for yourself in heaven by the way you live your life??
Lord, teach us to follow you always that we may gain a place in heaven. Amen.
