MODEL YOUR LIFE AFTER OUR BLESSED VIRGIN MARY, FR AGBEJE TELLS WOMEN OKE-PADI, IBADAN

THE Catholic Women Organisation of Nigeria (C.W.O.), Ibadan Archdiocese have been tasked to follow the examples of our Blessed Virgin Mary, who is a good model.

Rev. Fr Raphael Agbeje, assistant cathedral administrator, in his homily at Mass at the Cathedral, Sunday 19 November, urged Catholic women to be like Blessed Virgin Mary in all they do.

“From my observation, Catholic women in this archdiocese are making positive contributions to the propagation of our faith. However, no matter the office we occupy in this organisation, let us remember that it is a privilege. Let us model our lives after Blessed Virgin Mary, who is a shining example for all women,” he said.

Fr Agbeje advised every woman to make good use of her talents “for the wellbeing of their parishes and communities.”

Catholic women, he said, should be identified with good characters, garnished with love and hunger for God’s goodness in the life of others. Let us desist from gossip, envy, nepotism and factions within our group. Note that you shall account for all your deeds on the last day.

He welcomed CWO members to the cathedral on behalf V. Rev. Fr Gregory Oyelami, Vicar-General/ Cathedral Administrator, after which they proceeded to the Cathedral Hall for their meeting.
