3RD DEGREE KNIGHTS INVESTED IN IBADAN BASORUN, IBADAN

IT WAS A DREAM COME true for some brothers and sisters of Knights of St.  Mulumba,  Nigeria in Ibadan Metro when the  investiture ceremony was performed for the 3rd degree Knights and Ladies on Saturday,  12th May,  2018 at St.  Patrick Catholic Church, Basorun, Ibadan.

The investiture was preceded the admission ceremony conducted by the Metro Grand Knight,  Brother Matthew Ajibero and the President of the Ladies, Basorun Sub Council,  Sister Bola Odeleye respectively.  During the admission,  the metro Grand Knight advised those for the investiture to be faithful Catholics who would always defend the church and her ministers. He also enjoined them to put their new position at the service of the church and her members because their new position is for a higher service.

The investiture proper took place within the Mass celebrated by the, Chaplain of Basorun Sub Council,  Rev. Fr. Francis Omolade. In his homily,  he enjoined the new 3rd Degree Knights and ladies to contribute their own quota to the spread of the good news like Apollo who participated in the spread of the good news.

The priest encouraged them to humble themselves and learn more about the church whenever the need arises. He warned the Knights and Ladies, especially the newly invested not to be carried away by their new position.

The oath of office of the newly invested  was administered by the Metro Grand Knight and President of the Ladies,  Basorun Sub Council respectively.

At the end of the Mass, the Chaplain, Basorun Sub Council made a passionate appeal to the Supreme Council through the Metro Grand Knight to have the investiture on Sunday as it used to be.  According to him,  this would serve as means of evangelization for the Order and serve as an encouragement to would be Knights and ladies.

The knights and Ladies for investiture were from Basorun, Ibadan, and Ilorin Sub Councils respectively.

At the end of the ceremony, there was group photograph and light refreshment
