Rev. Fr. Olaifa gave a talk on “The Fruits of Lent”

He said, sin, no matter how small, whether mortal or venial separate us from the Lord, adding that the worst thing that can happen to a Christian is to lose the sense of sin.

In the Catholic church, Fr Olaifa said we have the culture of frequenting the sacraments. The worst that can happen to a soul struggling to go to heaven is to lose the sense of sin.

We ought to be conscious of our sins, he said noting that  many Catholics fail to go to confession for months or even years.

The height of perfection  Fr Olaifa contended would only be attained in heaven and not in this life.

After some discussion on the subject, Bro. (Prof.) Udoh reminded members that the order is a family based organization and emphasized its significance. There was the Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament followed by celebration of Holy mass. In his homily Rev. Fr. Olaifa, emphasized the importance of the reception of the sacrament of reconciliation, especially during lent.
