ANCILLA CATHOLIC Hospital, Iju Road, Agege, Lagos State together with St Vincent de Paul Relief Centre, Baruwa, Ipaja on Saturday 18 November provided free medical eye screening for hundreds of parishioners from different parishes within the Ipaja deanery.

Led by Dr Abiola Bamgbose, the medical crew screened patients for cataracts or glaucoma and provided eye glasses and medications for the less serious complaints.

The administrator of the centre, Mr Jude Ohaeri, who is also the co-ordinator of Ipaja deanery of the society, said the event was organised to provide relief for those who could not afford high cost of drugs and medications.

The centre also cared for the distressed people who needed rest or rehabilitation, especially fire victims who might be accommodated inside the centre for about two weeks.
